Some people are on their way to hell right now.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)
By grace, those who’ve received forgiveness through Jesus have been saved
Grace is unmerited favor, if I do you a favor you have not earned it.
Many want the favor but reject what it means to receive that favor of God.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Jesus was preaching actions. The majority of the miracles He did were in response to actions of faith He saw, or He would tell the people to do things in order to have the miracle happen.
Eternal life with God is a gift you can NEVER earn, but if you choose to receive it, it means you’re preparing to change your life.
You, at this moment belong to hell and powers of darkness or you belong to God.
If you think you belong to yourself, you are on your way to hell.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
People who exercise these ways of life will not inherit eternal life. Say what you want, but God doesn’t change because we’re in modern times.
Have you ever seen a baby learn to walk?
When a toddler learns to walk, he stumbles often, but no rational person will criticize him for this. They will laugh and be delighted in the toddler’s effort, assure him to keep going, they will encourage him to get up, and lift him up when he doesn’t have the confidence to continue on.
When a teen is instructed to go do something and instead decides to sit down in defiance. No adult laughs or delights in this.
Both the fallen child and the sitting teen are not moving, but the response they get is much different. One has made a decision to walk and then he falls; one has made a decision to say no and do nothing.
As a Christian I might fall into idolatry, stealing or fornication, it might take me weeks or months or longer to get back up,
But I made a decision to take the favor of God. He washed me clean in the blood; He bought and paid for me and I am His.
The one who has heard the Gospel and may have said a prayer but goes right on living the way he always has can’t possibly be a believer.
If you have received the gift of eternal life, The Holy Spirit of God has entered. You may feel nothing but do something bad and it is painful to your soul....BECAUSE God lives in you.
If not you are not a Christian it’s okay, you might feel bad, but hey, you’re only human and God understands, right?
The saved and damned may do the same things, they may even sin together, but trust me, one will have to turn away and one won’t have a problem continuing.
Romans 14:4Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
If I belong to God I will ultimately stand. He will reconcile me to Himself.
I am back where I was always supposed to be. God’s plan
INSIDE Christ.
Jesus prayed to the Father for Christians in John 17 that 22“They may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” If we are one with Him, then we belong to Him.
If I can choose to live outside of God’s design without torment of conscience then who do I belong to?
Jesus talking to non-believers in John 8:43 “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.”
You’re already dead; condemned.
John 3:18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
We are saved by faith through grace. pisteuō
verb; an act, a state of being.
I decide to walk and I walk.
I choose to sit in my sin and i do not activate that faith
Are you constantly tempted by sin? That doesn’t mean you’re not a Christian.
Do you fall into sin and feel badly all the time. Most Christians do and occasionally remain for a season of their life.
I’m talking about living in a sin and being OK with it.
Only you and God know if the exchange has been made; your old life for His new one. Check yourself.
