Luke 2:37 and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years,who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
Anna served God praying and fasting in the temple. When you think of praying as service to God then it's no longer a laundry list of requests, nor a mumbling of obligated appreciation, but a seeking, knocking experience, that with patience brings us to the throne room of God; receiving His mind on the things of this world and His peace to keep us, and His strength to do all things. Being in service to God is what we need to live the lives we're all seeking, and it's as close as our knees are to the floor.
