2Tim 2:1 “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.”
How can we be strong in grace unless we partake in grace? We must be nourished by His impartation of life before we can have His life flowing from us. It means when God gives me light on a subject, it isn’t just enough to acknowledge it as true, but I need to take it in, digest it, and be strengthened by it.
I don’t do it by my strength and I don’t do it for my sake, but for the sake of the one who enlisted me.
Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.”
I'm His and His love is my impetus.
