Word Up

John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

The words we share in relationship are so important. All of us hear the echoes of words that have been spoken to us; they help to make us who we are. The word ‘abide’ roots from the same word as ‘abode’ which is a dwelling. Abide mean to dwell with; remain; to live with. I need His Word, like I need His life to live in me. I never stop thinking and I want that constant meditation to be on Him, and His words to me.

I have been struggling with so many issues of life; I have had some great moments with God and then back into the fire. This I know, that God can do anything. He is the all powerful One and I choose to believe Him and He is pleased. I am convinced because I have hidden His Word in my heart and He has breathed His life into His Word!

Lord thank you for your mercy, loving kindness and long suffering towards me, your servant. Please have Your way with me in this moment right now; please enable me to be a good and faithful servant. I believe you Lord, that you are able and willing to grant this prayer, and lead me to the ways of delighting myself in You.

Psalm 119:5 Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!
6 Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments.
7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I will keep Your statutes;
Oh, do not forsake me utterly!
