So much of our focus is blessed by concentrating on Jesus; what He has done, and what we could never do. So then besides this focus and saying, “Yes” to God, what can we do inside the finished work of Jesus Christ?
When we first fall in love, we want to spend every waking moment meditating on, or being with that person. Every thought seems to conjure up precious memories or anticipation of being with our beloved.
This can be the same with our Father, Bridegroom and Comforter. We can do this in prayer, meditation, and in studying the Word.
Proverbs 4
1 Hear, my children, the instruction of a father,
And give attention to know understanding;
2 For I give you good doctrine:
Do not forsake my law.
3 When I was my father’s son,
Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,
4 He also taught me, and said to me:
“ Let your heart retain my words;
Keep my commands, and live.
5 Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.
Receiving the life from the word of God is receiving the very life of God Himself!
John 1

V14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Hebrews 4

Psalm 119
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has given me life.

2 Peter 2
18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
It brings hope defiant in the scope of human reasoning

49 Remember the word to Your servant,
Upon which You have caused me to hope.

More than anything, His Word residing in my heart causes me to stand during afflictions, tests and trials

I would then have perished in my affliction.
Job 23
9 When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him;
When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him.
10 But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
Being occupied with the Word of Life; speaking to Him in praises, petition or intercession, and “eating” the Word brings life to John 14:38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Rev 22
16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
